Le dépar­te­ment Dyna­mics de l’ICM vous convie à son premier atelier théma­tique « Migra­tion et Big Data » qui aura lieu en distan­ciel le mercredi 7 avril 2021, de 9h30 à 12h30.

Cet événe­ment inau­gu­rera une série de trois ateliers et d’une forma­tion dédiés à ce sujet qui se dérou­le­ront au prin­temps et à l’au­tomne 2021. Ce premier atelier a pour objectif de présenter l’état de la recherche utili­sant les big data pour l’étude des migra­tions et d’of­frir un regard critique sur les poten­tia­lités ainsi que sur les défis posés par ce type de données. Il devrait égale­ment permettre de dégager les besoins en forma­tion sur les méthodes utili­sées dans ces recherches, à desti­na­tion aussi bien de cher­cheurs débu­tants ou plus expé­ri­mentés dans ce domaine.

The Dyna­mics depart­ment of the IC-Migra­tions invites you to its first thematic work­shop « Migra­tion and Big Data » which will take place on Wednesday 7 April 2021, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm CET.

This event will inau­gu­rate a series of three work­shops and a trai­ning course dedi­cated to this topic which will take place during the spring and autumn of 2021. The aim of this first work­shop is to present the state of research using big data for the study of migra­tion and to offer a critical over­view of the poten­tial as well as the chal­lenges posed by this type of data. It should also help to iden­tify the trai­ning needs in the methods used in this type of research, for both begin­ners and more expe­rienced resear­chers in this field.
